Feed and weight gain calculations
If you feed your male broiler chicken 4kg of professional feed (like Ultima plus starter) for 5 weeks, and you take very good care of it with proper health measures, you can expect the chicken to grow to about *2.7kg*. Here’s how we calculate it: 1. *Starting weight*: The chicken begins at 40g (0.04kg). 2. *Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR)*: This is 1.5, meaning for every 1.5kg of feed, the chicken gains 1kg in weight. 3. *Total feed given*: You are feeding 4kg of feed. 4. *Weight gain calculation*: - Weight gain per kg of feed = 1kg / 1.5 = 0.666kg. - For 4kg of feed, the chicken will gain: 4kg × 0.666kg = 2.664kg. 5. *Final weight*: Starting weight (0.04kg) + weight gain (2.664kg) = *2.7kg*. So, with 4kg of feed and good care, your chicken should grow to around *2.7kg* in 5 weeks.
